For the majority of time in Tanzania we will be living and working in Njoro Village.  Our focus will primarily be helping to complete a shared community space for the village that will be managed by a local school.  In addition we will be working with language partners at the school supporting their current studies and culture related activities such as cooking, milking cows, playing soccer, etc.

 

We will take a break half way between our 7 days of service camping a night in a Masai community of northern Tanzania.  We will be taught by local guides how they track animals, identify plants, and gaining some insight to their traditional lifestyle.

 

After wrapping up our service project in Njoro Village we will enjoy seeing the country of Tanzania through a different lens learning about itself wonderful wildlife in a three-day safari and bicycle ride.  We will visit Tarangire National Park, overnight in a campground over the Rift Valley, descend into Ngorongoro Crater, and spend time biking around Mto Wa Mbu village.
